New Funding Arrangement for Authors Funded by Wellcome Trust at 7 UK Institutions
Wiley is taking part in a new arrangement with Open Access Key (OAK) to manage and process payments for Wellcome Trust funded authors from 7 UK institutions. OAK is a new financial platform to manage, consolidate and process publication fees incurred in open access publishing. Between April and October 2012 authors funded by The Wellcome Trust at any of the institutions listed below can have their open access publication charge paid directly from their institution’s Wellcome Trust open access fund, using the OAK system and no charge will be directly payable by the author. Authors can comply with the Wellcome Trust funding requirements by publishing their article in a Wiley Open Access journal, or in the OnlineOpen option available in over 700 Wiley journals, to make their research papers freely available through PubMed Central (PMC) and UK PubMed Central (UKPMC).
